Nonviolent Peaceforce Minneapolis and Duluth Internships

Nonviolent Peaceforce offers 3-5 college or graduate level interns the opportunity to work in NP’s administrative office on a variety of projects (see specific job descriptions). Interns supplement their internship projects with intern meetings, in which they learn about the organization and nonviolence, through guest speakers, field trips, discussions, and media.

Requirements:
• Very good English skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions well and to work autonomously
• Commitment to the mission of Nonviolent Peaceforce
• Commitment to work cooperatively and grow personally
• Permit to reside in the US
• Preference is given to interns who can attend meetings and work Fridays

Hours:
Summer: 10-40 hours/week, plus 2 hour weekly intern meetings
Semester: 6-20 hours/week, plus 2 hour bi-weekly intern meetings

Dates of Internship: Summer: June 2nd-August 8th Fall: September 8th-December 5th Spring: January 26th-April 24th

Deadlines:
Fall 2008: July 11th
Spring 2009: October 24th

Compensation: College credit may be available through intern’s school. Interns are encouraged to secure their own grants or scholarships.
