NOVASC's work is done primarily in Zimbabwe and in contact and exchange with Africa and global partners. The main objectives for the organization are as follows:

WOPD - Women Organisation for Peace and Development was founded in June 1999 by women refugees from the Great Lakes Region in Nairobi, Kenya. It is a non-profit, non-governmental, and independent organisation.
The mission of WOPD is nonviolence education in order to defend the human rights of women who are suffering from violence and exploitation in all its forms. It is an establishment of a mutual network committed to the nonviolent conflict resolution process, reconciliation, and building peaceable communities.
Some of WOPD's activities include:
- Training and information on the human rights for the woman in her community.
- Nonviolence education; active nonviolence, etc.
- Training and information on the participation of women in making decisions on political, economic, social, and cultural matters.
