Board of Directors: The primary purpose of the Board of Directors of Nonviolent Peaceforce is to guide the direction of the organization through active involvement in the creation of its strategy. Once the strategic plan is fully developed, it is passed down to the operational staff to implement.
The Board is also responsible for ensuring the organization is well-governed with adequate policies and procedures and remains in compliance with all relevant national and international regulations. The financial management of NP is overseen by the Board who is responsible for managing financial opportunities and risks, ensuring adequate funding availability, and adherence to the operational budget. Another important purpose of the Board of Directors is to ensure the ongoing development of resources such as fundraising, building strategic partnerships and supporting the organization’s use of technological and human resources.
Senior staff: Nonviolent Peaceforce has a headquarter in Brussels, an administrative office in Minneapolis, and field staff in conflict zones around the world.
